Saturday, March 15, 9 am - 12 Noon
With a shortage of water upon us, it is time to look at appropriate landscapes for Southern California. In this class, four instructors will share their expertise on "California Friendly" lanscaping. First, Kay Stewart, a landscape architect with several garden awards, will share how our regional native plants can bring spirit and vitality to low-water gardens. In the second class, Nan Sterman, author of California Gardener's Guide Volume II, will address sustainable landscaping. In the thrid class, Patrick Anderson, owner of a stunning succulent garden in Fallbrook, will talk about designing with succulents. The three-evening class will culminate with a Saturday morning tour of Quail Botanical Gardens with master designer Bill Teague, who will show you many of the plants discussed in the classes, and examples of how they can be used in the landcape.
