The Gala is our biggest fundraiser of the year. And, it's one of the most enjoyable party experiences in all of San Diego County. The San Diego Magazine lists our Gala as one of "The Top 10 Plus 10" parties! Please join Honorary Chairpersons Loren and Susie Nancarrow at this year's Gala in the Gardens, a spectacular garden party with an anticipated 500 guests -- Saturday, September 8th at 5:30 p.m.   Funds raised go directly to Quail Botanical Gardens' exhibits and operating expenses.

Be sure to mark your calendars and plan to stroll through the Gardens at twilight while enjoying various themed musical accompaniments, sipping your favorite beverage, sampling local restaurant fare, and participating in the excitement of a silent and live auction.

The evening's program will include a video-taped presentation of the Paul Ecke, Jr. Award of Excellence to local journalist and internationally renowned author Richard Louv. Mr. Louv will not be able to join us as he has been scheduled to appear in the Netherlands to launch his latest book, "Last Child in the Woods:  Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder." This year's theme, "Celebrating a Return to Nature," is taken from Mr. Louv's intuitive research and reporting on the alienation of nature in our children and the need for an immediate nature-child reunion.  We hope to continue to provide that reunion right here at Quail Botanical Gardens for generations to come.

We are pleased to announce that ticket prices for the evening have remained the same for the last three years -- $145 per person.  The party is unique and often described as "many-parties-in-one" as over 20 different food and beverage stations are decorated by floral designers and strategically placed within the meandering Garden trails. We look forward to having you join us as we celebrate a return to nature.
