Quail Botanical Gardens Offers Free Admission With Participation in Lighting Exchange Event
- Trade in up to five incandescent bulbs for energy efficient CFLs ~
~ Encinitas, CA . April 15, 2008 - Quail Botanical Gardens is offering a special
.lighting exchange event,. in partnership with San Diego Gas & Electric and the City of
San Diego on Saturday, April 19 from 11am to 2pm.
The public is invited to trade in their old incandescent light bulbs for new energy-efficient
compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs). The new bulbs use about 75 % less energy than
standard incandescent bulbs and last up to 10 times longer. Receive free admission to
Quail Botanical Gardens by participating in the lighting exchange. Please bring a valid
California ID and/or your SDG&E bill, to exchange up to five 75-watt or higher
incandescent light bulbs for CFLs.

and saving natural resources is something that we should all be thinking about and by
hosting this lighting exchange, we hope that people will be inspired to make some

In addition to the lighting exchange, held in the Ecke Building, local organizations will be
on hand to discuss environmental issues, such as water conservation and recycling.

Lighting offer is limited to 5 bulbs per household per year. These programs may be
